THE PROPOSAL

Rob and Carmie returned to Cornell for its annual Reunion weekend where Rob reunites with his college fraternity brothers every year for three days of reminiscing about the college days. After arriving on Thursday night, Rob set out the plan for Friday morning. Anticipating Carmie’s nosiness and thoughts that a proposal might come soon, Rob told her on Friday morning that it would not happen to throw her off the scent. The couple had breakfast with a friend before taking a stroll through the beautiful Cornell campus. Eventually, they made their way to the top of Libe Slope at the base of the breathtaking McGraw Clock Tower which overlooks West Campus and Cayuga Lake. Shortly thereafter, Rob explained to Carmie how much Cornell has meant to him and that there is no more special place than to ask the most special person in his life to marry him. He got down on one knee, took out a sparkling diamond ring and she said, YES!
